New York I: Fall 2006

Hey there, it's been forever since I've posted on my website, but here it goes. This past year I've been studying drawing and painting at the New York Studio School in New York. The school is truly a unique place, which emphasizes long hours in the studio, working from the model and learning from a tradition of master artists. In the fall I am beginning my MFA at the Studio School and am truly excited about it. The next few posts feature some of the work that I've done in the past year. Enjoy!

I. Drawings from Fall 2006 -
Many of these oil pastel drawings are from a drawing marathon I took with Carole Robb. Every day for two weeks we made plein-air oil pastel drawings at the Chelsea Market.
